CSA, or Community Sustaining Agriculture, is a program where ‘sustainers’ sign-up to receive regular shares of vegetables from a local farmer throughout the growing season. By signing up in the winter or early spring, sustainers help the farm plan their planting schedule. In return, the farmer rewards the sustainers with their regular share of produce (and extra when there is abundance!). The money paid by sustainers not only provides for their own food, but it also helps cover the cost of members in our Veggie Rx Program!
Each share will contain a mix of vegetables, fruits, and herbs that are in season at Budding Moon Farm. A majority of your share will be set by the farmer; you will get to choose the rest from an assortment of what is in season.
Different size shares are available to meet the needs of each unique household. Additionally, our hope is that your participation will continue to sustain and enrich your health, and you will know that your participation will also sustain the health of members of our community.
Pick-up your share throughout the season, have a friend pick it up, or let the farmer know you will be gone for the week to donate your veggies.
Give feedback about what produce you like best – we want this to be the best experience possible!
Every week of the CSA season from Mid-May through early December- 4 pick-ups every-other week.
